Improving Education To Build A Better Future

The vision for Lazeli Secondary School is to provide an excellent education for young women and, in the process, educate a village. They are committed to providing an opportunity for young women to receive quality teaching within a positive and safe environment. The mission of Pathways Africa is to empower and assist the people of Africa through the mutual development of sustainable resources for community planning, education, and health services. Students are taught mathematics, science, english and sustainable farming and nutrition practices.

Lazeli Schools is an equal opportunity, private boarding school that seeks to provide quality education for girls,  irrespective of social and economic background. Located on a 20-acre parcel on the slopes of Mateves Hill, along Dodoma Highway, 11 kms from Arusha, Tanzania, with a great view of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The girls' secondary school opened its gates in January 2007 with four girls. These four graduated in December 2010 and the school now has an enrollment of 60 plus students. Lazeli provides a unique opportunity young ladies to continue their education beyond the primary level provided by the Tanzanian government. However, the ecomonic hardships of local families prohibit the financial support needed to sustain this level of education.
